Chicago Bears 34, Seattle Seahawks 17: Swift's late scores answer Seattle's push
D'Andre Swift ran in three touchdowns, two after Seattle closed to 20-17, as the Bears won 34-17 at Lumen Field and covered as 3-point underdogs.

Seattle cut the lead to 20-17 with 11:46 to play. The Chicago Bears answered with two touchdown drives, both finished by D'Andre Swift from 5 yards out, and left Lumen Field with a 34-17 win on Monday night.
The Bears controlled the clock and the chains. They converted 7 of 15 third downs and held the ball for 35:03. The Seattle Seahawks went 1 for 11 on third down.
How it was won
Chicago scored first. Caleb Williams found Luther Burden III from 1 yard out with 5:25 left in the first quarter, and Cairo Santos added the kick for 7-0.
The second quarter was mostly kickers. Jason Myers hit from 27 yards, then Santos made a 44-yarder and a 38-yarder to push the lead to 13-3. With 30 seconds left in the half, Sam Darnold hit Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 43-yard touchdown, but Myers missed the extra point and it was 13-9 at the break.
Swift scored from 1 yard with 5:38 left in the third for 20-9. Seattle responded early in the fourth: Darnold threw 7 yards to Cooper Kupp, then hit Tory Horton on the two-point try to make it 20-17.
That was as close as it got. Swift scored from 5 yards at 8:28 and again from 5 yards at 4:41.
Swift's line was 27 carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns. That is 2.6 yards a carry, and it did the job near the goal line. Kalif Raymond added 39 yards on his only carry, and Chicago finished with 126 rushing yards.
Williams went 24 of 34 for 247 yards and the Burden touchdown. Rome Odunze caught 4 passes for 87 yards. Colston Loveland led the team with 7 catches for 65 yards. Chicago outgained Seattle 363 to 252 and had 22 first downs to 18. Each team turned the ball over once.
For Seattle, Darnold was 17 of 34 for 188 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Smith-Njigba did most of the damage with 6 catches for 118 yards. Horton had 3 catches for 26 yards. The run game never got going: Jadarian Price had 10 carries for 29 yards and Zach Charbonnet 6 for 23.
Against the number
Seattle closed as a 3-point favorite. Chicago won by 17, so the Bears covered with 20 points to spare. On the moneyline, the Bears closed at +140 and Seattle at -166. A $100 bet on Chicago returned $140 in profit.
The total closed at 46.5 and the teams combined for 51, so the over hit. It came late. The score sat at 37 points after Seattle's two-point conversion and 44 after Swift's second touchdown. His third, with 4:41 left, pushed it past the number.
